The correct prediction of tides and ondametric phenomena involves significant impacts on coastal marine human activities. That requires the knowledge of oceanographic and weather conditions. The Italian National Mareographic Network for tides recording, was entirely made by SIAP+MICROS, has allowed to refine and implement an automated and technologically advanced solution for monitoring these phenomena.
Multiple systems of measuring of the the water level together with tools for continuous monitoring of meteorological parameters and water quality make the SIAP+MICROS’s tide gauge stations the best tool available to local regulatory authorities for monitoring and studying the dynamics of weather and oceanographic.
The tide gauge networks SIAP+MICROS thanks to the continuous and rapid updating of measured parameters allow the understanding and prediction of the movement of tidal waves (tsunami hazard alert systems) and tidal basins around the world.
